Constant double parking on this section of 5th avenue ruins commutes for all modes of transportation. Trucks loading the supermarket, and families shopping in the supermarket all double park endlessly.
The street has heavy bus traffic, emergency vehicles (fire and police stations are very close), and regular traffic. Delivery vehicles need their own dedicated area to park to avoid blocking traffic.
Huge double parking in the bike lane issue all the way down Dekalb, especially from Vanderbilt to Ashland.
Vehicles often park with their tires on the sidewalk along Rochester Avenue. Sidewalk is filthy with litter. The street sweeper doesn't seem effective.
Often double parking in front of apartment building throughout the day by delivery vehicles or passenger pickup/dropoff. Having a loading zone would help prevent double parking.
I constantly see box trucks unload in this travel lane (heading north to Flushing, mostly). It blocks not only traffic but buses as well. It usually happens in the morning, especially during rush hour
Lots of cars and vehicles double parked here blocking bus lane!!
This intersection (and many others like it) does not have adequate pedestrian protection: it has paint and flex posts, nothing to actually stop drivers from hitting people. What it needs is raised curbs and bollards.
Regular double parked trucks unloading in the leftmost lane, often around lunch time.
