Spring St - Varick St - Avenue Of The Americas - Manhattan

Cars double parking on Spring Street in Front of Hotel Dominick narrows street passing causing undue congestion. Hotel entrance should have a designated drop off area in front of hotel entrance to prevent double parking, protect passengers disembarking and ease traffic congestion on spring street.

24 Ave - Benson Ave - Bath Ave

Almost every morning and afternoon (around 7:30-8 AM / 2-3 PM), some parents feel entitled and refuse to move their cars, stopping and callously double parking in both lanes of the street. They say they are picking up their kids and refuse to move even when room becomes available on the side because it's closer to the gate to drop pff or pick up their children. This leads to huge traffic congestion, causing massive backups where entire streets are blocked and cars cannot move. It’s worth noting that some parents may erroneously believe this behavior is legal due to the prevalence of double parking. Urgent intervention is imperative to address this reckless disregard for public safety and ensure the smooth flow of traffic in our community. Implementing measures to clarify and enforce parking regulations in school zones is essential to alleviate this issue.
