Double Parking
Double Parking
Remsen St - Court St - Clinton St - Brooklyn

Multiple times a day cars are double parked and completly block Remsen street between Clinton and Court. Frequently, there are CitiCare transport buses that block traffic and the car horns are unbearable! There is some sort of social services building nearby on Remsen Street. Simple fix, add a no parking sign in front of this building and give the CitiCare buses a place to load and unload without blocking traffic. This is incredibly frustrating and the latest item on a long list of why I wish to leave NYC and never return

Montague St - Hicks St - Brooklyn

There are constantly multiple cars double parked in front of the Brooklyn Cat Cafe on Montague. This happens daily, particularly weekday mornings, causes regular back ups and frequent honking.

Double Parking
83 St - 37 Ave - Roosevelt Ave - Queens

This is a bus lane on a residential block between two major commercial avenues. There is CONSTANT double parking that inhibits the bus from passing and results in incessant honking (from the buses as well as cars behind them). Often the drivers are not even waiting in the car, so the honking is entirely useless. That doesn't stop MTA bus drivers from blasting the horn (I timed one at 3 minutes without a pause). People live, sleep, work from their apartments on this block. The level of noise is unacceptable and hugely diminishes the quality of life.

East 207 St - Bainbridge Ave - Perry Ave

Ever since Saint Brendan's school changed into Success Academy Charter school cars are constantly double parked during arrival and dismissal times. Cars are driving in opposing traffic and people are crossing in the middle of the street while cars may seem to be stuck in traffic causing an overall dangerous situation every day school is in session. I've seen many days where traffic is at a complete standstill since cars are facing off against each other and not moving during dismissal times.

Goulden Ave - West 205 St - Goulden Ave

Lot fo trucks with wide trailers parked along Goulden Ave are wide with parts of their trailers or vehicles jutting out. Some of the trailers are not attached to a truck cab or the pick up truck they came with. Some of them are parked outside of the marked parking lines which makes passing by them difficult on a bicycle with car traffic right next to the cyclists and these wide trailers.

Van Cortlandt Park South - Mde Sb En Van Cortlandt Prk S - Major Deegan Expwy Et 11 Sb

From the Van Cortlandt exit of the 87 to Broadway along Van Cortlandt and 240th St, cars, school buses, trucks, trailers are constantly parked on the park side where there is no parking at those times. Most often there are no drivers in the vehicles. Especially dangerous are the car dealership's trailers that use this stretch of road to load and unload vehicles to the dealer on 240th and Broadway.

Passenger cars, trucks, and vans constantly park in bus loading area, at all hours. They also park at fire hydrant a few spots up. A loading zone around the corner on 35th Ave would be nice.
