There is a curbcut and old yellow paint here at 125 8th street, in front of Makeville Studio (the lime green storefront). These double doors are a loading dock for Makeville Studio, a community woodshop. It would be great if the curbcut in front of Makeville was a loading zone only during our operating hours (10-6) so that we can receive lumber and tool deliveries, and so that our shop members can load their projects.

Avenue U - Mcdonald Ave - Brooklyn

Hi, hope you are doing well. I am writing to formally request the installation of a designated “Truck Loading/Unloading” zone in front of our business, MR. SHYP | Mail Center & Print Shop, located at 300 AVENUE U, BROOKLYN, NY 11223. Our business operates as a multi-carrier shipping and logistics center, handling daily pickups and drop-offs for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other delivery providers, in addition to servicing Local Small Businesses with Scheduled PACKAGE PICKUP SERVICES. Current Issue: Due to the absence of a designated Loading/Unloading Zone, delivery and pickup trucks are forced to double park or stop in active travel lanes during pickups and drop-offs. This creates: Traffic congestion on the block Obstruction of nearby intersections Safety risks for pedestrians and drivers Complains from nearby businesses Request for you: We respectfully request that NYC DOT conduct a site evaluation and consider installing a designated Truck Loading Zone with appropriate signage to accommodate commercial vehicle activity. We are happy to provide: Photos documenting current conditions Pickup schedules from carriers Additional operational data upon request Thank you for your time and consideration in improving safety, traffic flow, and support for local businesses in our neighborhood.

Skillman Ave - 41 St - Queens

We are a long standing, long island city based catering company that recently moved into our new location at 40-11 Skillman Ave. We have 2 vehicles. One fits in our garage, the other is a box truck we use for deliveries and park on the street. Throughout the day, we make multiple deliveries and cannot park because UBER EATS is next door and the cars block the driveway as well as the no parking zones. We end up double parking and causing traffic while endangering our team by loading/unloading in the street. If we had a commercial loading zone spot in the vicinity, it would make thing much easier for the flow of traffic and safety of our team.

Clinton Ave - Lafayette Ave - Greene Ave

Extremely easy fix to ease traffic jams on busy Clinton Ave. The Truck Loading Zone for the entire block of 15-story co-ops is in front of 345 Clinton but needs to be moved to 361 Clinton Ave, where deliveries for the entire city block are made. The trucks all double park in front of 361 anyway, causing jams every day.

Extremely easy fix will help ease traffic along busy Clinton Ave - the Truck Loading Zone positioned in front of 345 Clinton needs to be moved to in front of 361 Clinton Ave, where deliveries for the entire block of five 15-story buildings are delivered. All of the trucks double park in front of 361 anyway, causing jams daily.

A Loading Zone sign is not needed there. There are apartment buildings on this block no stores or supermarkets. Please remove this sign.
