This is a great place to ride but the paths are dirt and not always safe for cyclists. It would be great to take advantage of the beautiful vistas.
This is a major crossing of bike traffic, and this intersection needs to be beefed up. It's not always clear how to cross this intersection safely.
The Shore Towers management often locks the gates to the bike/ped route in front of their building. The fences need to be taken down given that they cannot be trusted to not lock out the public.
I would love better access to LGA for bikes and bike parking. Improving signage so that people know the lanes do go to the airport. Many people live near the airport, and LGA is for domestic flights, so it's not unrealistic to think someone might take a bike to the airport with a carry-on. There should probably also be a Citibike station there.
Need safe bike access from Downtown Flushing to College Point. Along a waterfront greenway or on street roads that are safe and protected. There are no access points for anyone
The Whitestone bridge has no access for people walking or biking. Queens needs access to the Bronx and vice versa. And build a better bike network near the bridge to compliment it
Unsafe to walk or bike from the flushing bay promenade to citifield. Would love to see a safe bike route created between the two and CURB CUTS from the promenade down to car level. Often, those on bicycle must endure a heavy pound taking their bike down from the greenway to the car level
There is VERY LITTLE public space in Downtown Flushing. We need to see more public plazas that connect with (newly created) waterfront greenways. Downtown flushing is densely populated and would benefit greatly from these kinds of spaces
there is garbage, water pooling and rubble routinely on the path between the flushing bay promenade and the northern boulevard bridge. the path needs to be better maintained for those who wish to use it if not possible, how can we ensure it will remain clear through other forms of improvement and maintenance
The Northern boulevard bridge provides no access and NO DIGNITY to the flushing bay waterfront promenade / citifield for the communities in flushing not using cars. The Pulaski Bridge provides a great example of what needs to be done - provide a dedicated, separated pathway for wheeled active mobility tools like bikes, and keep the sidewalk dedicated to pedestrians
