This area was previously an access point to bike into LGA, and would be beneficial to workers if it were to become one again, especially with the restaurants and services within the new terminal.
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in pedestrian and cycling routes from Long Island City and Astoria to East Elmhurst and College Point, Queens. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

This is a good stretch of pedestrian/bike path, off the road that will be a nice jaunt connecting Ditmars to the promenade.
The bike path over the bridge is way too narrow, and both ends are dangerous for entering and exiting.
The bike routes along these parks are strange because the bike path on the road ends, and one is expected to take unmarked paths in the parks. I don't think I've seen that elsewhere in the city. I think there would be a viable bike lane along the entire road and paths in the parks to see the park and the waterfront.
This is a great place to ride but the paths are dirt and not always safe for cyclists. It would be great to take advantage of the beautiful vistas.
This is a major crossing of bike traffic, and this intersection needs to be beefed up. It's not always clear how to cross this intersection safely.
The Shore Towers management often locks the gates to the bike/ped route in front of their building. The fences need to be taken down given that they cannot be trusted to not lock out the public.
I would love better access to LGA for bikes and bike parking. Improving signage so that people know the lanes do go to the airport. Many people live near the airport, and LGA is for domestic flights, so it's not unrealistic to think someone might take a bike to the airport with a carry-on. There should probably also be a Citibike station there.
Need safe bike access from Downtown Flushing to College Point. Along a waterfront greenway or on street roads that are safe and protected. There are no access points for anyone
The Whitestone bridge has no access for people walking or biking. Queens needs access to the Bronx and vice versa. And build a better bike network near the bridge to compliment it
