Public Space
Public Space
22 St - 41 Ave - Queens Plaza North

These two massive lots have been vacant and inaccessible to New Yorkers for far too long. Turn both of these lots into a public park. Not a playground or ball court, but a park like Washington Square Park. Build housing around it, giving residents a few of the park.

Please make this area into a park. There is a dearth of green space in this area and a large park would be beneficial to the community. Plant trees, walkways, perhaps a fountain. Make it a respite away from the extremely noisy area around it.

This underpass serves as another great opportunity to bring art into a very dark and creepy space! Could make it a community project with a local org or commission a local artist to paint or graffiti a mural along the walls and floor. It'll not just be beautiful but will increase the safety and visibility of this major access point to the promenade for the community

Really great opportunity to have the community or a local artists create art from the pedestrian bridge! It would be a beautiful way to artistically and literally connect our community to the waterfront environment!

Many airport workers have made their own trail to get to LGA. As part of this project it's very important that an actual safe bike and pedestrian walkway is created for them and for the public. Many people live very close to LGA and get stuck in traffic when it might be a 5-10 min walk instead. Encouragement of other modes of transportation to LGA besides driving should be something extremely encouraged and made very easy for folx

Lack of Public Transportation
Lack of Public Transportation
Marina Rd - Boat Basin Pl - Marina Rd

This is a more general note rather than this specific location, but there is no public transportation anywhere along the current Malcolm X Promenade. When creating this as the Greenway there needs to be better access for the communities of Flushing, Corona and East Elmhurst

Marina Rd - Northern Blvd En Van Wyck Expwy - Pedestrian And Bike Path Link

Ironically your often DOT trucks come blazing through this gate here making it extremely unsafe for anyone to pass by the kayak launch or idle for more than a minute. I'd consider closing this entrance to commercial vehicles since the Greenway will be bringing even more public to the waterfront

Narrow Roadway
Narrow Roadway
Flushing Brdg Ped And Bike Path - Van Wyck Expressway Et 13 W Nb - College Point Boulevard

This pedestrian bridge is very narrow for both bikers and pedestrian never the less allowing 2 way flow of traffic. If this is the primary way the Flushing community can reach they Greenway without a car this needs to be larger or are the bare minimum improved with the other comments shared about signage and Google map directions doesn't see this bridge as pedestrian accessible so it never shows up in walking directions

Signage Problems
Signage Problems
Northern Boulevard - Collins Pl - Prince St

There is a small sign here but you only see once you are already on the pedestrian bridge and the bridge needs more lighting an perhaps be painted a different color so it stands out to pedestrians. More signage along northern Blvd at least right at the intersection of Main & Northern

Inadequate Lighting

This underpass is extremely creepy and unsafe because it needs lighting
