this is probably one of the best bike intersections in the entire city, if not the country. The transformation of 31st Ave has created such a more welcoming environment for all users
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in cycling routes from Long Island City to Astoria to East Elmhurst to Fort Totten. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

Shore Boulevard here is very narrow. Im not sure how complicated it would be, but turning it into a one way with a continuation of the Shore Boulevard Bike lane would be a great connector
Please place retractable Bollards on Shore Boulevard or simply de-map the street. People remove the barricades and drive on the road regardless at times.
The trip up 9th street is steep and has alot going on with the buses and traffic. If possible, using Main Avenue with a left onto 12th Street would be a better and direct connection to Astoria Park.
Thank you SO much for the amazing work on 31st Ave. Could a stop sign be placed here? Drivers are not yielding to cyclists trying to connect to 31st Ave
This intersection is an absolute nightmare, mostly attributed to Costco. Would really be thankful for a redesign. Also the bike lane disappears into the sidewalk here and its dangerous.
The bike lane on the Roosevelt Island Bridge should be more pronounced
There needs to be a direct bike lane on Vernon along Queensbridge Park. The detour through the park gives the idea that people are using it for leisure and not transportation. It's also really dangerous to cross traffic here as no one stops for either of the pedestrian/ bike crossings where the lane picks back up.
Highway crossing is terrifying - worth w/NYS DOT. 7/27/24
Like walking on Astoria Blvd to 23rd. Walk to Astoria Park and then to Socrates. 7/27/24
