Side road of Cross Island Parkway, a lot of cross hatching (buffer channelization that says do not drive), a lot of space reserved there which would be a great opportunity to upgrade the neighborhood.
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in cycling routes from Long Island City to Astoria to East Elmhurst to Fort Totten. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

Note that there aren't going to be a lot of spaces along these alternatives (10.1, .2, and .3) where there is tree shading etc., while Cross Island Parkway presents that opportunity to have that.
Left turn going in is too sharp; fear of getting hit by incoming traffic with where the stop currently is. A turn north toward LIC would be better if it wasn't on the right, perhaps having all bike traffic on the left. Perhaps going to 49th even though it's a one-way.
A lot of double parking on Center Blvd and a lot of people. I would rather walk or go via Vernon to the waterfront.
Pulaski Bridge landing is not great; it's a complicated intersection and it is unclear about where to go. I wait for the light at that intersection but am unsure if others will also stop. Need clearer indication/signals about right of way.
On Center Blvd, I want a protected bike lane there. I feel as if bike traffic can be moved to the western part of the street for a 2-way bike lane.
All the way through Vernon until the very end (51st) to get to the waterfront; it tends to be the faster route.
No objections/issues to 1.1; it would be the pick for leisure/recreational biking.
improving 7.1 would be good - this area is a mess and very challenging
the bridge part of 7.1 needs work - 7.1 would be the best of these options
