This is a very quiet one-way road with AMPLE space for a bike station. Maybe not as convenient as dearly missed station on the corner of 39th st/2nd ave but it would be a great hub for bikers coming down the cycling lane on 2nd, coming down the cycling lane on 40th street, coming up the cycling lane on 39th street and those currently parking on 1st avenue between 38th and 39th if they need to go to 2nd avenue. After removing two bike stations on 39th street crossing 2nd and 3rd avenues, this area has no biking stations at all.
underserved area between stations
infill
The 54th street station is so often empty, this would help to have one here!
this bike dock is almost always full! clearly a hub for Citibikers and great access to bike path of Prince St
The previous bike station on 39th street in front of Duane Reade was great. The road has parking on both sides, so it should be fine. Right now in this area there are not Citi Bike stations at all.
add more capacity
Add a bike station next to bike lane
Please expand further east on eastern parkway... it's along a major train with main stops route that can be served well with more bike shares... you get of the train and ride further to where you need to go as an alternate to waiting for a bus . And it would also mean bringing a station one stop closer to home...
