This little triangle of land at the end of Mother Gaston would be a great place for a Citibike dock. From that spot, it's easy to go down Fulton in either direction, or one can ride up Mother Gaston toward Bed-Stuy or Bushwick. And by placing the dock on that island, the riders would be protected from traffic while docking and undocking.
Increase in residents with vehicles makes parking restricted as is. Taking away parking for bikes would be counter intuitive to the needs of the community.
Hancock street is a major Ridgewood/Bushwick -> BedStuy/ProspectPark/West Brooklyn Route and need bike safety improvements + citi bike usage.
Easy access to the 3&4 plus buses into lower Brooklyn!
would be great to see citi bike in crown heights
The park is a great place to have a dock, perhaps a couple on opposite sides of the park since many streets surrounding it are one-way and lead to different neighborhoods.
This corner would be a convenient spot.
Much needed in plg
Mother Gaston is a great connector road for residents to access a bunch of different neighborhoods. The road here can give up a couple of parking spaces no problem. And the bodega guys keep a good eye on the neighborhood so it’s a nice safe spot for the bikes.
Already crowded two way street with bus lanes
