These sidewalks are large and could potentially support a citibike station off the street. In addition to the nearby bus stations, there are also zipcar parking spots in the adjacent building.
Note also that Calvary Church also has it's own off-street parking, reducing the parking demand at this location.
On Sundays this area of Sterling is also used for church parking
On Sundays this corner is extensively used for church parking
This spot in front of 243 Buffalo Ave (between the driveways for 241 Buffalo Ave and the Calvary Church) is a great location for a citi bike. There is enough space for two cars, but often cars park in the middle. Thus this spot often only accommodates one car anyways. A citibike station fully utilizing the space would be a more efficient use of the street serving more residents. This particular block on Buffalo combines high traffic with few residential parking needs. - it's near bus stations for the B15, B45, and B65 - the garages at 243 Buffalo Ave open into the church parking lot, so it doesn't block anything - the residents at 241 Buffalo have parking off the street - the residents at 239 Buffalo use non-resident parking at a NYCHA facility - across the street 236 Buffalo Ave has an underground parking area
Its a good place because its near the park
