This spot could be useful to many residents, but there is an empty lot right next to the J train Halsey stop where an electric vehicle lot could be installed. It’s on the border of Bed Stuy and Bushwick, right on Broadway across from a grocery store. Seems like a better placement for, not one, but several EV chargers. It is also large enough to accommodate a couple of wheelchair accessible spots.
434 Kosciuszko is a likely location for a charging station. Teachers who drive to work at the public school on Kosciuszko could recharge within the time they spend teaching. Residents could make use of the chargers at non-school hours.
We don’t want this on our block. It would only benefit wealthy people and disadvantage long time residents would have a harder time parking. It would serve people coming from other neighborhoods who use the YMCA or the high school. It would attract hordes of electric bike delivery drivers. This does not serve the everyday life of our residential block. Strongly opposed. Put this on a commercial street.

Good location! Near parks is best for visibility and security
I support electric vehicles, but I am opposed to charging stations being on residential blocks taking up parking spots for other cars. Electric vehicles are still not affordable for many New Yorkers. There are not that many EVs compared to gas cars in NYC. By designating parking spots on average blocks that only electric vehicle owners can use, we disadvantage the majority of residents who use gas vehicles. Surely there is a better and more creative solution. I’m opposed to a EV charging station at 120 Monroe.
This would be a perfect location for a charging station.
