Electric Charging Station Not Wanted
Electric Charging Station Not Wanted
418 W 160th St (Edgecombe Ave)

Parking in this area has become very difficult over the past 13 years; between alternate side parking regulations, regular interruptions from tv/film crews who film in the area and restrict parking, sometimes for days on end, the general influx of vehicles and nearby blocks with restricted parking to cater to tourist buses, the loss of even one block of parking will be detrimental, especially to residents who do not work from home and so can’t easily move cars in the mid morning or who cannot afford to pay trusted neighbors to do so on their behalf. Electric chargers should be placed in less congested areas given that, at this time, most people in this neighborhood do not drive electric vehicles in need of one.

This would make our lives so much better. We spend so much time chasing chargers. The one closest, by NYP, is a joke. Yes, please! Demand far outpaces the supply.

This is a good, central area of the neighborhood. A few spots for EV charging don’t come close to the # of spots Columbia & other entities have taken in recent years. EVs are the future and amenities should be provided for them. Regular street parking however should also be improved! It’s long past time for residential zone permits; Columbia staff can pay to park in lots & garages, side streets should be reserved for those who live here.
