Would love having EV chargers here!
This location will benefit the safety of the community as multiple people are currently extending power cords from their residences across the sidewalk to the curb to charge their private vehicles in this immediate vicinity. Also, the City provided EV location on Court Street nearest this location was rendered unusable since the recent bike lane expansion project. The EV charger was installed and months later, the expanded bike lane goes right over the parking spots. The EV station remains despite the bike lane cutting it off from vehicles. People are still attempting to use the EV charging station and having the wire pulled taught across the bike lane. Please help!!
So many people Columbia waterfront district / Carroll gardens / cobble hill want to replace their ICE car with an EV. This charger would help so many of them switch.
