There are no options for charging in Columbia Waterfront currently (unlike red hook and Carroll Gardens). There is very high need for charging infrastructure at this location, particularly with plans for waterfront development.

I live nearby. The infrastructure for EVs in this City is really bad, and it makes it hard for me to encourage others to buy EVs which is ridiculous in 2026 given what we know about climate change and how it has impacted Brooklyn specifically. Lets have all the chargers!

Anywhere in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill. We have NO chargers. One was removed for a bike lane and is just sitting there, out of order. I have to travel to Park Slope or Ikea and leave the car overnight, having to cab back or take a subway. It makes it impossible to have an EV car. Sometimes we just cannot drive our kids anywhere because we have no charge and none are open in neighboring areas.
This would be an excellent location. The only charger we had in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill was removed for a bike lane and never replaced. Anyone with an EV needs to travel outside of the area to charge.
