We need a bike/pedestrian bridge over Newtown Creek at this location
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in pedestrian and cycling routes from Long Island City and Astoria to East Elmhurst and College Point, Queens. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

This stretch of 48th Street, between 37th Avenue and Northern Blvd is a meat grinder for bicyclists and needs protection. the east side (northbound) is constantly double parked in and the segment just south of Northern Blvd is a sad mix of bad driving and conflict for north bound bike riders. Put a two-way protected lane on the west side of 48th street where there is less parking conflict!
This part of Queens has extremely poor access to parks or greenspace, so making the 34th ave bike lane an actual, protected bike lane would make it MUCH easier and safer to get to the waterfront/parks in western Astoria, or to safely access the protected bike lane on Crescent.
This should be a destination park worthy of better design and access for bikes and pedestrians!
Tough crosswalk- often see cars pass young children on way to school over here. Also, entire crosswalk filled with potholes making it very difficult to cross with a wheelchair or stroller.
Access between CitiField and the World's Fair Marina is difficult, not well signed, and not conducive to the pedestrian and bike traffic it receives! please remedy this!
There are no crosswalks at this intersection on the north or south ends.
Restore Greenway access to the Airport! It used to exist, even if informal, needs to be restored!
Would like this to connect directly to Elmhurst to make a full Western/Northern Queens loop
This section is very hard to navigate if you are turning into or out of the Queensbridge houses greenway.
